FASHION UPDATE

FASHION UPDATE:

This is a very exciting upcoming Spring/end of Winter season. Finally, you will see a mixture of every color to suit your particular style. This years designers have taken a modern twist on the traditional looks for spring. This happens to be my favorite.  Picture a mixture of blooming flowers. Soft pastel colors.  All shades of blues, with beautiful pinks and lavenders. Add a splash of vibrant color to that mix.  Different shades of oranges and cayenne, sprinkled with some soft yellows.  Black and white is always a great look.  Plain, or with stripes is also a big trend this year. Modest, and modern. Lastly, you will see the Baroque look. Dark shades of blues, grays, and chocolate browns. Some shiny fabrics mixed in. A heavier look, but great for evening. 1920s-fashion-vintage-35897668-660-856Nowhere to shop? Personally, I have been very sad that my favorite store just closed after many years. A landmark here in LA.  Loehman’s is gone!! This is a loss for those of us who love a bargain and designer labels, plus a great selection of accessories and shoes.  I took my first steps into a T.J. Maxx. it’s not bad. They offer a similar selection but it’s hit or miss. If your visiting the L.A. area, I always suggest going to Century City. It’s open, outdoors and very comfortable. You will find a beautiful Bloomingdales, Banana Republic, and Zara. Classic, stylish, and modest. I always love going to the Grove, especially if you’re with your family. It’s also outdoors and fun for the kids. They have a great Nordstroms, Anthropology, J. Crew, Gap, and lots of little shops along the path. Women, let’s not forget up-dating our hair styles!! Keep those long shaitels. Maybe think about making them into a new look.  A low twisted bun or pony tail. Shorter bobs with longer pieces in the front is very big now.  Lets not forget the men. What can you do to spruce up that plain suit. Try a pocket square in a great color. If your really bold go for the polka dots! I am always on the lookout for new clothing stores that can offer great service at a great price. Stay tuned I will keep you posted. Check out “The President Day Sale” beginning tomorrow @ Karen Michelle Boutique 1444 S. Robertson Blvd. LA 90035 (310) 777-6700
